From 9 to 11 September, a team of the French TV channel “France 3” visited Split and its surroundings in the framework of the preparation of a TV report on urbanisation policies and preservation of the coastal part of Mediterranean European countries. Mr. Jerko Rosin, President of the National Spatial Planning Council, Ministry of Environmental Protection, Physical Planning and Construction, has been interviewed about the policy concerned followed by Croatia, whereas Mr. Tihomir Marinkovic, Mayor, Municipality of Bol, the island of Brac, spoke about urbanisation issues of this Municipality and measures which could be taken at the local level to ensure a concerned coastal area development. The representatives of PAP\/RAC used the opportunity to speak about the ICZM Protocol and the contribution this Protocol is going to make in the field of the coastal management in the Mediterranean.<\/p>\n

A TV broadcast entitled “Avenue de l’Europe” will be on “France 3” on 10 October 2009 at 18:30 hours.
