The Coastal management plan for Ka\u0161tela<\/a> was presented at the conference \u201cCoastal management in the Adriatic Croatia\u201d, which was held in Ka\u0161tel Luk\u0161i\u0107 on 22 October. This plan, prepared within the EU CO-Evolve project, and coordinated by the Split-Dalmatia County\u2019s Development agency RERA, is the first of its kind prepared for a city. PAP\/RAC had an advisory role in the development of the plan, which was prepared applying the same methodology as the one used for the preparation of the Coastal plan of the \u0160ibenik-Knin County. However, since applied at the local level, it went into higher level of details than the regional plan. Both plans had a strong focus on adaptation to climate change in the coastal zone. Also, they recognized the crucial importance of the coordinating body for the area which could assist in the common challenge of the overlapping authorities; define the vulnerable zones, priority measures and actions. At the conference<\/a>, the Department of Maritime Affairs and Tourism of the Split-Dalmatia County, announced launching of preparations for the Coastal Plan for this County.<\/p>\n

Finally, two more Coastal plans in Croatia have been announced. One is to be prepared for the city of Vodice, priorty area of the \u0160ibenik-Knin County in the framework of the EU Adriadapt project; while the County of Primorsko-Goranska has started preparations for the development of the Coastal Plan for their region next year.
