{"id":5215,"date":"2025-01-31T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2025-01-31T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/staging.paprac.org\/news\/medigreen-mpa-europe-and-mediterranean-msp-community-of-practice-join-forces-in-madrid\/"},"modified":"2026-05-08T10:18:57","modified_gmt":"2026-05-08T10:18:57","slug":"medigreen-mpa-europe-and-mediterranean-msp-community-of-practice-join-forces-in-madrid","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/staging.paprac.org\/hr\/novosti\/medigreen-mpa-europe-and-mediterranean-msp-community-of-practice-join-forces-in-madrid\/","title":{"rendered":"MEDIGREEN, MPA Europe and Mediterranean MSP Community of Practice join forces in Madrid"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Bringing together key players in Maritime Spatial Planning (MSP), the <a href=\"https:\/\/mspgreen.eu\/medigreen\/\">MEDIGREEN<\/a> project partners gathered in Madrid for a dynamic three-day event focused on accelerating the <a href=\"https:\/\/commission.europa.eu\/strategy-and-policy\/priorities-2019-2024\/european-green-deal_en\">European Green Deal<\/a> transition in the Mediterranean Sea.<\/p>\n<p>The event kicked off on 27 January 2025 with the MEDIGREEN <strong>steering committee meeting<\/strong>, where partners reviewed the project\u2019s objectives and set strategic priorities for the next phase of implementation.<\/p>\n<p>On 28 January, the momentum continued with a <strong>joint conference<\/strong> of MEDIGREEN and <a href=\"https:\/\/mpa-europe.eu\/\">MPA Europe<\/a> projects, where PAP\/RAC took the stage to showcase MSP activities within the Barcelona Convention system.<\/p>\n<p>The final day, 29 January, featured the <strong>Mediterranean<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>MSP Community of Practice<\/strong> meeting, where PAP\/RAC led discussions on the MSP Working Group (WG). The session focused on exploring new pathways for collaboration between the Mediterranean Community of Practice and the WG, laying the groundwork for stronger regional cooperation.<\/p>\n<p><em>About the project:<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>MEDIGREEN &#8211; &#8220;Mediterranean approach towards a maritime European GREEN Deal in MSP&#8221;\u2014 is an initiative funded by the European Maritime, Fisheries, and Aquaculture Fund (EMFAF).
