The conference brought together experts and practitioners to discuss sustainable coastal planning in the Mediterranean. The event took place at the premises of PAP\/RAC on Thursday, while Friday\u2019s sessions were hosted at the Radisson Blu Resort Split. The conference was organised in partnership with PAP\/RAC.<\/p>\n<p>On Friday, PAP\/RAC Director Daria Povh Skugor welcomed participants, emphasising the importance of the ICZM Protocol in the Mediterranean and, in particular, the growing importance of resilience in coastal planning amid climate challenges. A presentation by Programme Officer Ante Ivcevic, titled \u201cToward Resilient Landscapes: Planning Coastal Areas in a Changing Climate,\u201d highlighted the role of the AdriAdapt knowledge resilience platform\u2014soon evolving into MedAdapt. He underscored its application in developing coastal plans across diverse regions, including \u0160ibenik-Knin County in Croatia, Boka Kotorska Bay in Montenegro, and the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima region in Morocco.<\/p>\n<p>Concluding the session, PAP\/RAC consultant Igor Belamaric presented the Centre\u2019s guidelines &#8220;Nature-based solutions for adaptation to climate change in different coastal typologies in the Mediterranean&#8221;, reinforcing the need for integrated, ecosystem-based approaches to coastal management in the Mediterranean.<\/p>\n<p>The conference reaffirmed the importance of regional cooperation and knowledge-sharing in addressing the evolving pressures on coastal landscapes.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":6144,"parent":0,"template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false},"class_list":["post-5269","news","type-news","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry"],"acf":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/staging.paprac.org\/hr\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/news\/5269","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/staging.paprac.org\/hr\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/news"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/staging.paprac.org\/hr\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/news"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/staging.paprac.org\/hr\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/6144"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/staging.paprac.org\/hr\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=5269"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
