Daria Povh Škugor was appointed Director in June 2024. Previously, she served as Senior Programme Officer, coordinating large-scale coastal management projects across the Mediterranean, from regional to local levels. Daria holds a degree in Coastal Economy and an MSc in Coastal Zone Management from the University of Ulster. She also spent a year at the University of Venice working on the management of the Venetian Lagoon. She is committed to advancing resilience and sustainability in Mediterranean coastal zones through an integrated approach, bringing together governments, science, communities and businesses.

About Marko
Marko Prem joined PAP/RAC in 2000. He contributed to the negotiation of the ICZM Protocol and continues to support its implementation. In 2011–2012, he served as Acting Director of the Centre. He holds a PhD in Geography from the University of Primorska (Slovenia), an MSc in Environmental Policy and Management from the University of Hull (UK), and BSc degrees in Landscape Architecture and Agronomy from the University of Ljubljana (Slovenia). His work focuses on coastal and marine planning and governance, as well as monitoring and assessment, and related policy and management initiatives of the Centre.

Marina Marković works on integrated coastal governance and marine spatial planning across the Mediterranean, with particular experience in the Adriatic region. Her work supports regional cooperation and national planning processes. She holds a Master’s degree in Political Science and postgraduate research degrees in Coastal Management.

About Veronique
Veronique Evers holds a Master’s degree in Geography from the University of Maine (France). She has extensive professional experience supporting Southern Mediterranean countries in their ways towards coastal sustainability.
She is mainly working on governance and capacity-building related to ICZM and the blue economy, and her main interests include the social and legal dimensions of coastal management.

Ivan Sekovski works in PAP/RAC since 2015, on projects involving coastal planning, nature-based solutions and climate resilience, and marine and coastal monitoring. He holds a PhD in Marine and Coastal Management from University of Cadiz, MSc in Water and Coastal Management form University of Faro, and MSc in Marine Biology and Ecology from University of Split.

Since joining the team in 2021, Ante Ivčević has been working on coastal plans and strategies, as well as projects focused on climate adaptation and coastal resilience. Ante holds a PhD in Geography (risk management) and an MSc in Oceanography (marine environment) from Aix-Marseille University, as well as an MSc in Physics–Geophysics from the University of Zagreb.

Tea Marasović manages international projects and leads communications and outreach initiatives supporting stakeholder engagement and coastal resilience in the Mediterranean. With an MA in Sociology, she has experience in project management and communications across the public, private and civil society sectors, and a background in journalism.

She is an experienced executive leading Administration and Fund Management officer, overseeing projects funded by multiple international donors. She holds a Master’s degree in Economics from the University of Zagreb. She manages financial planning, fund administration, reporting, cash flow and asset management, internal procedures, and budget monitoring, providing guidance to ensure effective project implementation and contributing to strategic decision-making. She ensures compliance with donor requirements and transparent, accountable, and efficient project execution.
